RBF is number 158 of the 295 straight six SE4 cars built by Reliant from 1964 to 1966. The car was rescued last year from sheds in the garden of an elderly gentleman along with several others before thankfully finally ending up with us at Straight Six. The yellow body was off the car but had the correct identification for us to identify it as did the chassis which had the same number stamped on it. The rolling chassis which surprisingly was in excellent condition has been totally restored along with the suspension and now has the straight six engine installed and running. The body is very good and only needs minor preparation and refinishing preferably before it is reunited with the chassis. All the major original items are with the car including doors, bonnet, boot, glass, dash, seats, petrol tank, bumpers etc. With all the major work already completed this will be a straight forward and rewarding project which will result in an important rare car that typifies 60’s Sports and GT cars finally being back on the road.
